This Knowledge Base article is to assist SOM medical students with the laptops provided to them. 

 

Anyone with a Rowan-managed device should not perform these steps. Rowan-managed devices are supported by Information Resources & Technology.  You can report an issue by contacting the Technology Support Center at 856-256-4400 or emailing support@rowan.edu

 

Problems:

The above items are some issues you may encounter that an Emergency Reset can fix.

 

Reset ThinkPad L390 & L13 Yoga (This will work with other models that have an Emergency Reset)

 

If the Emergency Reset does not work, try the following:

Step #1: Check for Windows Updates

Step #2: Check for Lenovo Updates via Lenovo Vantage (If prompted with a BIOS and Intel Firmware updates, you must install the Intel firmware first. Once completed, you can proceed with the BIOS update).

Step #:3 Run device diagnostics via Lenovo Vantage.

If you are still having issues, then you can open a ticket with Lenovo (24/7/365), (1-855-253-6686) if your device is under warranty, or you can contact the Technology Support Center by calling 856-256-4400 or emailing support@rowan.edu.
